Playing Around Got Me Crashed

Image
I wanted to play around with lines and pipes so this is what I initially started before I crashed I wanted to create something abstract that I can print and use for other projects. It didn't take me an hour but the crashing took forever. Until now, Rhino is still not responding. So I opened another Rhino window and did a similar thing but less planar. It's weird that I couldn't think of anything I want to add for this assignment.  Perspective View Right View But then it crashed again. And I can't open another Rhino window.  Neither was saved. Truly this has to be a horror story.

ꙮ The Making of a Seraphim Inspired Vessel ꙮ

If you have read most of my blog posts, it's obvious that I love eyes. Well these past few weeks, I found a Facebook group called "Many - Eyed SeraphimPꙮsting" and have found my my people. They post photos of art and memes like this: So yes I created another eyed item and I'm happy with it. Here are the definition for my vessel, the casting and the mold: Unaltered. Fresh from the mother mold. A failed baby.  Challenges: Plaster made my hands really dry and now my skin is shedding. Should've listened to Kayla about wearing gloves Too much bubbles in my mold, I didn't take air out properly maybe I have to wait for an hour to make sure the cast is dry. I didn't want to make another destroyed vessel When I removed my 2nd vessel, some plaster was stuck in it. I was able to get it out but now I don't know if there's plaster inside the slip. My vessel has a possibility that it might explode when fire

A love/hate relationship: Working with Plaster

To be completely honest, my design isn't crazy or anything. It's basic and simple, I just want this mold to work. This form does remind me of the very first object I 3D printed on 2019 during my first year OBDF class with Greg Ball. My First 3D printed object! When I printed my vessel, the filament ran out. Luckily, someone reprinted it on another printer while I was gone. Thank you whoever you are!  First Vessel Prints. Half the size of the original.  When I placed my outline in the MASTER MOLD file, I didn't notice that it was upside down, again me being lucky, Kayla noticed and she laser cut another one for me! The vessel was to big so I cut off a bit of it using an x-acto knife Now it fits!            I was not confident in making the plaster. I'm glad Kayla was really great in helping me finish my mold! The plaster for the half negative went smoothly however as time was running out, we had to use the actual plaster room and co
