From thinking "I wanna make a minimalist ring cuz i hate wearing Bulky rings" to creating a "Wearable Sculpture"

I wasn't sure at first on what to design to make especially rings since I don't wear a lot of them and I like non bulky rings but then I find them too boring so I just sketched whatever went through my head.

THE SKETCHES

I had to choose three concepts out of nine that I sketched for critique.

FINAL THREE CONCEPTS

During the peer-to-peer discussion, my group mentioned how they would like to see my designs in an organic manner. Instead of using extrusions, I need to use pipe. So that's what I did for my final design. I used my third concept and improved it to make it more organic and interesting.

Now it was time to check it on Shapeways and see if I have any problems with it. The first time I did this was bad. The flower parts were all in red so I re-did the petals and made them thicker.

All Good!

Everything seems to be good! I added it to my cart and oh my god it's worth $30 because I wanted my ring in copper. All I have to do now is wait for my classmates so we could do a group order to portion the shipping payment.
